This tohu (logo) for Palliative Care Nurses NZ reflects new beginnings, new age, new ideas and groups of people coming together united in the delivery of palliative care for all New Zealanders.
The tohu design represents partnership with Tangata Whenua and is reflected in the ihu(nose) of the kiwi (representing all New Zealanders) and the koru (representing Tangata Whenua) originating from the same frond. The larger frond on the right represents the significant contribution nursing makes to the care of patients and families. The colour and base used for the design encompasses the spirituality and balance within palliative care.
